Hello dear friends,

Here is my latest work, of the "Green OSE carriages" project, the second series of paper models, the East-German UIC-Y VEB "Bautzener" carriages.

The model, is also a reworking of older work, focusing mostly on the underframe of the carriage, where, some mistakes of the Sachsenmodelle wagons have been taken care of..
The windows arrangement on the BDms 2nd class-Baggage carriage, is also the correct one.
Some versions have "weathered" roofs, with patterns and colours taken from photos of the prototype.

As you will notice, all models follow a common construction method up to a point,after which, specific type characteristics must be taken account for.

For this reason, The previously uploaded Instructions issue, has been "broken in two", the common part, being valid for all models which follow this construction technique, and separate issues concerning type-specific differences in the construction method.

Together with the VEB carriages, some minor reworking has been done on the latest GOSA model, the Post-m Mail van, not previously uploaded here.

Another addition, is the creation of 3d-printed accessories for both types of carriages GOSA and VEB, in one single set, containing 4 buffers, 2 air reservoirs and 2 intercar gangways. Of course, as with the GOSA carriages, a selection between "conventional" and "close' coupling bogies can be made, as well as different material options.

In the near future, add-on kits of dummy bogies made from cardboard for static models will be available.

I would be very interested, in some feedback if some of you has already tried making one of them.

Christo, it depends, of how much expensive you want it. Your cheapest choice would be using conventional coupling bogies made from versatile plastic which cost about 10-12E/pair, plus wheels (cost 4E/wagon) from here : https://www.modellbahn-radsatz.de/ , and brass bearings from MARKITS. The rest would be an inexpensive MDF wooden piece, a pair of metal screws/washers etc, cardboard 250gr/m2 and self adhesive label paper. It is all written down in the manuals. The models are designed, so that you can make a choice for some parts between paper-made and 3d-printed. They are also made, so that the bogies can very easily be added/removed, so, if you want to build several versions of the same wagon, you do not need to buy bogies for all of them.
Of course, you can choose 3d printings for all available accesories, and of the finest quality, which can rise costs..

Dear friends

Here are three more versions of the VEB Bautzener carriage, one of each type.
They are pained dark green with light grey roofs, and they represent a "mid-1980's" version after the first revisions in Greece, when lettering color changed from the original cream, to the classic yellow, and standard OSE dark green paining, with the old-type "Smokers / No smokers" inscriptions (Inscriptions written in Greek /French on a Red / White rectangular background), just like the style of the DB carriages inscriptions of the same era.

Nonda, I saw yesterday for the first time your paper models of the GOSAs. I'd like to add my congrats to those you have already received! Excellent work!!

I have two questions:

- Are you still planning to produce JZ versions?
- Do you know if the bogies are still available??
