Now, that we are very close to have some original OSE transporters for our HO Military drills, let's have a look at the loads
The basic unit of the Greek Army Armored Corps is the
ουλαμός oulamos = platoon
Following the standard NATO formations each platoon had initially
five tanks but since 1992 they were reduced to
fourA Company,
Ίλη (Ili) is formated by: three platoons (ουλαμοί), a HQ section (two tanks), a maintenance section with recovery tank and mobile workshop and a supply section.
I don't know the way the that MVs are transported by rail and I guess this is not our point, unless we intend to organize a coup at Jonmood's layout
I'm going to model a consist following the available photos. Something like 4 or 5 tanks and a recovery one would make a good combination.
Here is a bunch of six M48A5 on a train. Note that the flatbeds are mixed 1990 East German and 1944 old Americans.

I'll have a look at my downloaded photos, I'm sure I have some good examples of similar loads.
since then have a look at a Leopard 1 A4 shot during the 1992 25th March parade.
