Both photos from http://liliput.de/en/. Interesting convertion possibilities. The tender is also possible for Ηβ411 - Ηβ42.

Hi BalkanExpress,

The conversion can be done, although the main issue will be the stephenson excentric gear which seems to be on the middle-axle of the CO engine as opposed to the 3rd axle of the GKB loco... and to build a brand new working Stephenson distribution from scratch is way beyond sadomasochism...

For me the main problem is elsewhere: the GKB loco is such a sweetie that it would be a heartbreak to start chopping it :D .. even in order to kitbash an engine most probably nobody has ever seen running in Greece!!

Anyway, let's keep positive and commiserate whoever starts this conversion!

Well,

I would like to make three points:

Yes it would be a difficult task especially since the model is around the 400 euro mark.
Secondly, the SEK model seems to be with outside coupling rods but inside valve gear.
Thirdly if I was to attempt it I would use the coupling rods but remove and save the valve gear say for the Ηβ.
And finally, though the model press gives it as a Stephenson valve gear it looks more like an Allen one.

Ten years later, and not sure that this is the same type, but there is a resemblance:
