Loaded with one Russian BMP-1.I thought the ones serving in the Greek Army had no camouflage on. Maybe it does not belong to the GA. The other personnel carrier must be another type.

great shots Andy! these BMP armored vehicles are very interesting indeed!

Christo, you are right that the GA BMPs were initially in their original plain green paint scheme but they soon received the Greek camo painting (probably all the 3 different ones...)

there is a chance that these are indeed GA vehicles, the scheme look very Greek to me. Maybe they were painted after some refurbishment and before delivered to the GA...
The first one looks different and with no tower and armament, could it be a driver's training vehicle?

Hi to all,

my comment on the N6 Flatbeds. It seems to be currently the most important freight wagon of OSE and I think it was neglected from the modellers point of view. They regularly travel to Germany, Austria, Hungary etc. which makes it probably the freight wagon (along with Eaos-x) that is spending a fair time abroad...so lets move forward.

Now the topic BMP-1. I am not an expert. Yes they came from surplus of the German army as the NVA was broken up in 1990. If I remember there were about 400 vehicles that came to the Greek army. Both, I would say are greek because the camo is very typical of the ΕΣ and I have not encountered it with another army.

I have given the matter of producing a kit of the N6 some thought, and considerable time. Below is a list of tasks that would need to be undertaken if I was doing it myself.

Ask for free drawings and photos of the subject
Design the etched metal (flat) parts and produce frets
Design the metal/plastic (solid) patterns and produce components
Procure suitable bogies, wheels, close couplings and other detail parts
Design (or ask BArbaPanagos) the transfers and produce decal sheets
Procure boxes and labels
Write up and print instructions
Test the total design by constructing a model

I have priced all the above. If I was to produce 25 kits the price would be £100 each and if I was to produce 100 kits then the price would drop to £50.

I would suggest that interested parties should pm Andreas (if he is willing) with an expression of interest. If we manage the magic number then I would need 50% deposit before I start. I would need to schedule this work in the diary. At the moment I have two major projects (working for other people) to complete before starting anything new.

Please forgive me if I cannot do better. I know that some might do it better, quicker and cheaper but my fallible way has limitations.

Is that a completely new built model, isn't it?

Is there any possibility of using a base commercial one in order to make it cheaper, making apart significative parts ans asuming little possible diferences?

the one thing that's sure is that you have done a great job with the 3D design program!
guess now is time for the production...

give us some details, is it going to be a master print and the final model will be cast in resin?
the detail parts, hooks, stakes etc, will be cast in metal?
what about the weight?

and of course it would be nice to have some idea about the estimated cost

...
