well...I was expecting to begin with lots of steam and diesel, old pictures and so on...but...other pictures stay waiting and never apears..so, lets start

Some pictures from Utrera station, in the southern line from Seville to Cádiz, 50 km far from Seville south. Utrera is terminal for locar trains. It keeps the old Andaluces' old company 1st class building and canopies in a renovated track and platforms for local services. Some flavour still there. New CIVIAs EMUs (CIVIA is a concept of an ampliable EMU in which you can add to the basic unit as much cars as you need for a specific line) are the main stock you can find, although, other clasical unit can appears...

Now I''m working in the new High Speed Line to Cádiz, south from this station, to be finished in various phases, in March 2015

Good afternoon to al members,

Spanish railways has lead into a policy of standarization, so the colourfull railway plenty of diesels (same as yours) and riveted electrics has definetively gone. Well, good weather and powerfull colour (clean and beautiful ones) make us still watch some meauty pictures.

Alicante terminus station, in eastern Spain, is the oldest terminus in Spain. The ancient MZA (Madrid to Zaragoza and Alicante) railway was the first huge company (previous little iniciatives were held, but not so powerfull) to develop a railway network that gets from Barcelone (north east Spain) to Seville, in souther Spain, getting in competence with Norte (North) Railways in decisive points and cities such as Madrid and Barcelona, where, different lines were constructed to enter and no to coincide and share tracks.

Nowadays, High Speed Line arrived to Alicante, so ancient terminus (buiding and canopy) were kept and platforms and tracks rebuilt to get the new High Speed consists.

Please, notice than in Spain we still have two gauges: the'international' one (1435mm) and the 'broad Spanish' one (1668 mm). New (mostly all) high Speed lines are built in Standart 1435 mm gauge, so you can find in terminals such a variety of material

Old rockers never die

Here, our RENFE`s DL500 'World' locomotives 1600 serie (similar, but not the same as your A301 - A310 ALCO) in his second life as tool machine in a contractor train.



As you can see, main diferences are rotation of front lights, no front multiple unit plug un the rounded part of the nose, diferente step position in the front skirt...)

It gives me a question to TEE1055 about his transformation of his Electrotren's RENFE 1800 and the front light. I'm transforming one and I've some questions to solve

Yep...probably he uses an Android or iPhone and no Shell Phone....

mine is an Android as well a rather low end though but it's OK,
I prefer shooting with my DSLR, surfing the net with my laptop, and using my old good Bialetti for the espresso
