Tonight I am really pleased to present you a new modeling effort introduced by an old fellow modeler and one of the guys I like the most in that hobby
From "Estrella Minis" a new range of 1/87 and 1/72 models, comes a genuine piece of Greek agricultural equipment!
As a modeler and Agricultural Engineer alike I mostly appreciate this one

In 1958 the "birth" of a new series of agricultural machines took place in the island of Crete.The owners grasped the needs of farms for a handy and multi task machine and with the addition of German engines of "Fichtel & Sachs" they manufactured it.Given the name "MINOTAVROS" from a creature in ancient Cretan mythology soon it became the "workhorse" of the Hellenic farmer in every corner of Hellas even in nowadays due to its strength and endurance.

Cretan built in mid-60's with various names like "Regina", "Candia", "Nestor", "Knossos" , A-frame agricultural machine used in several professions equipped with diesel Sachs or Ruggerini diesel motors.Cabins built from small garage shops with many variations.It's endurance and capabilities made her a true workhorse of the Hellenic province till nowadays.

Photo Balkanmodels: An old taxi in Thessaloniki. I know the driver but I have no idea on the type of vehicle or the date taken. It could be before WWII. Any ideas ?
