Hi to all,

It is time to post some pictures.

And this is the south side towards Alexandroupolis/Turkey. For FREMO purposes this end has only one track at the end of the module. At home I can exit the station from two tracks.

Pythion station looking at its north side toward Bulgaria. This is the version of the station for FREMO meetings and this is the situation as it was in May 2013 before our FREMO meeting in Winterthur. The middle modules that are narrower are being placed at the fixed layout at home. Now the next step is to color and weather the tracks and ballast them. You can also see the basis for the station building.

A small update.

I am now working the modules one by one. I started at one of the corner modules.

The buffer stop. Its not finished yet. A strip of wood will be added.

I soldered all the fishplates in place. I am simulating rail lengths of 9m.

I painted the rails and sleepers with H462 blackbrown from Gunze.

I then weathered the tracks with pigments. 3 different colors. Here it is during work and the tracks has not been finetunned. The pigments I use are from H0 Fine. Just google the company.

The status today. I am ballasting with woodland scenics Buff. I mix the normal and fine 50/50. The tracks need still airbrushing at the end.

Just before Christmas I took advantage that my darling was for a week abroad :mrgreen:

to mess up the apartment and do some serious work.... :ugeek:

For a long time now I have planned the inversion triangle for Pythion, which is on the south exit of the real station. I cut the wood in October (10 and 16mm MDF as a trial) and during one day I assembled the 5 Modules of the triangle. I coated directly the wood with clear varnish to seal so there is no fear of deformation. the length of the triangle is 2m and about 1.6m wide. Radius is about 920mm. You can see in the picture the theoretical triangle but there will also be some other stuff including an goods shed on the far right. I know Pythion does not have that but for "playing" in a FREMO meeting it is of advantage. In february I will lay the roadbed and lay the track. I will use a frog juicer for the polarity inversion of the triangle. It will be attached to the existing Pythion station at our next FREMO Meeting at the end of May.

The radius of curvature you use, is it about 1000mm, or less?

Do you use inclination, too?

The radius is about 920mm. Superelevation...I dont know yet. The project has been for the time being mothballed.
