Thanks for the new topic Christo!
The Kg in the first pic was being used for years in Drama as the "Traino tou Agiou Vassili"; it was usually pushed by a V60 shunter on New Year's Day, and an Agios Vassilis used to distribute gifts to children. The pic you posted was obviously taken on such an occasion (hence the missing siderods)
I don't know its whereabouts now, but this engine was one of the last active on the network; I took a picture of it cold in Alexandroupolis in 1979, and its good overall state indicated that it had been used relatively recently.
Does anybody know if it's the same engine with the one dumped in Thessaloniki? I wouldn't be surprised if the engine were still in Drama, in which case there would be two surviving Kg's...
Cheers,
Iossif

HI everyone,
This used to be the Aghios Vassilis locomotive (see my post above)
I photographed her in Alexandroupoli in 1979 and it looked as if it had been in use until recently (sorry, the negative is in Athens; will pick it up and post it when I go to Greece in summer, inshallah)
Is it certain that this one is the only Kγ preserved? I am almost sure I've seen one more in Thessaloniki but that was long ago...
Just to add my ritual anecdote, those engines had a strange feature: the reverse lever was mounted in a very strange position, so that when the lever was put forward, the engine went backwards (!!)
Cheers,
Iossif

Yes, it is surely the only Κγ still existing, at Drama.
