Hi All,

For all of you who would like to order these plates, please be patient, because I am going to place the order when I know the exact number of sets we require; I think this is the best way to have an interesting price...

Anyway, I'll let everyone know when I know the price.

BTW, France is now on holidays, which means that everything is paralyzed...

Cheers,

Iossif

I started a little bit the conversion of my 141R from Jouef to a "Greek" version. First of all I needed to remove all the wheelsets to send them for reprofiling them to RP-25 wheel standards. Removing them is a nightmare!!! Horby has made the dissasembly so complex that I hope I can put it back together in working order....a real nightmare...It took me almost 1 hour to take it apart...now the loco sits on a foam cradle upside down and the wheels are tommorow on their way....I hope to get them in two weeks.

What I also did today it to make the cowcatcher that was installed in Thessaloniki when the locomotives arrived. I fabricated it from 0,2mm brass sheet and the dimensions are rough according to the photographs from the article in Sidirotroxia No. 31. Here some pictures.

I started by painting the brass sheet with a black marker. I marked the lines with a steel ruler and with a knife.

All the pieces cut together and formed ready for soldering.

The backside of the finished cowcatcher.

The front side of the device. I wanted to attach it under the front running plate, which Jouef holds with two small screws....hence the to holes. I realised that the thread in the runningplate does not start right away but a few mm inside the plate thus it is not possible to hold the catcher with screw. I opened the holes to engulf the screws with a broach and I will glue it...basta.

Next steps. Attach the Antenna for the radio on the roof of the cab and make a third headlamp (I´ll probably turn one from 3mm brass rod and then drill it). Then the conversions should be fine...painting (because I have a green version) in plain black and then lettering....Iosif any news????

Cheers
