Found at Lianokladi in 2005 - built 1895 for the JSC, Salonica and Constantinople Junction Railway by Dyle et Bacalan of Paris, France. A remarkable survivor.

But unfortunately it has been renumbered to the known - common series of maintenance cars... as 30 73 100 7 171-6 and i haven't found the original class or number of J.S.C. or S.E.K.

It doesn't seem to have deteriorated too much in the last few years but it needs to be saved, something we both know is unlikely to happen, sadly. I did examine the chassis but could not find a SEK number plate so I guess that information is lost to us. The other interesting survivors at Lianokladi are all the old American USATC vans that wound up in the maintenance train. There are also those German 'Umbau' coaches there too, but they're for another thread!

The '' maintenance train '' of Lianokladi has a very big variety of vehicles .... Ringhoffer Z 1s, Excursional Θs ringhoffer, G 10, ''Convert'' 3-axle coaches, Z 1 by U.N.R.R.A. 1947 and more..

This is indeed a JSC van. It was one of 300+ wagons built by DYLE and were classified as G. Old SEK numbering 1641-1962. Later SEK numbering Z3563-Z3763. In 1933 there were only 192 wagons in SEK's registers. There were around 100 wagons by the same manufacturer and of the same type but longer so as to accomodate the brake hut. These were classified as Gf.

I think Z3523-Z3562. Total of 39 cars registered in 1933. The Ge were identical to the G. The only difference being the tare weight.
