Very nice Andy!
I have my wagons striped and ready for painting, I'm thinking to weather them and model a scrap train
with a U wagon at the end ;)

Another long lasting project is close to completion....

April 2018, I first started converting eight Eaos models (4 Klein and 4 Roco).
To remove paint and decals wasn't that easy using both isopropil alcohol and oven cleaner!

I finally had them all painted with RAL 8012 Red-Brown color. I used both Vallejo 71.271 and Molak 7008 to see if there was any difference..
The finish was identical, I had though altered the color to a couple of them to have some tonal variety as is the case in real life.

The decals were designed by Tasos for a Marklin model. I had to modify them to fit the Klein/Roco one and with Jason's help I made some new numbers according to the boggies/doors combination.

First digit is for the boggies,
A: Y25 "international" design
B: Y25 "French" design

Second digit is for the doors type,
A: Plain Doors
B: Doors with reinforcements

so I made 15 different numbers:

A-A
036-1
081-7

A-B
037-9
085-8
094-0

B-A
020-5
057-7
066-8
074-2

B-B
026-2
033-8
087-4
089-0

The bodies were sprayed with gloss varnish to receive the decals.
I couldn't find out where I had the "documents holders" stored, so they were replaced from photo-etched parts

The older Klein models had a major problem as the Zamak floor used to deform and degrade.
At the newer Klein and all the Roco models the froors are made of plastic.
Here are the painted floors, while the two at the left are handmade from plastic sheet to replace the damaged parts.

At the same time I painted the boggies and blackened the Roco wheels - the Kleinbahn wheels were factory blackened already

:D till now there is only a part timer acting in intervals as: project organizer, decals designer, models modifier, assembler, painter, decals applier, weathering applier, plus now and then undertakes some minor tasks...
You are most welcomed as there is a place at the 3D designing department :D

in meanwhile the decals applier has finished the work and the painter has sealed everything with Vallejo Matt varnish.
The decals film is great and has completely disappeared.
The first model needed almost 3 hours to have the decals applied, the rest needed about 1.25 hours each...

It took me two years but last April I had them finally completed.
Adding the two old Klein and the two that Andy has produced that makes 12 of them, weathering will take a while :D
